Had a mate climbing in Trowbarrow over the weekend which is pretty close by. Both routes and bouldering.

The main Warton quarry is currently closed at the moment as they are in the process of clearing some invasive plants but the upper crags are all ok

Dry, but watch out for that easterly wind, it’s been bitter the last week

Black Buttress is much harder to find than the guide suggests in my experience. I would also expect it to be wetter than the more exposed other sectors at Warton Pinnacle, I recall it seeping across some of the better lines in previous visits.

Are the grid references I have saved for there. Hopefully it's in good condition.

For Black Buttress just keep circling round at the same height, past the 'Pinnacle' with Totally Focused / Beastmaker probmlems. It's very obvious once you come apon it. It does take a bit of drainage but I've always managed to climb something on it.
