Burbage South Quarry rockfall/trundle

After reports of a substantial tower (forming part of the corner crack on Gardener's Wall)on the ledge above Trellis having moved since the 2023 rockfall the land managers Eastern Moors Partnership decided to pre-emptively trundle the tower. This was carried out this morning. On its way down the big block also took out the area of rock below containing Trellis and Poisoned Dwarf, which is perhaps not surprising as they had also slipped forward an inch or two during the original rockfall.
RAD update to follow once I've had a look and talked again with EMP.

In reply to Access BMC (England):

Went for a quick on the way home from work, is all a bit of a mess.

re ascended (solo) Poisoned Dwarf (f5) probably not quite the same but near enough  (See photos), for some reason i continued through the mud and rock fall rightwards to the top.

Trellis (f7A) has fully left us. RIP

Did 2 problems stand and sit on the only decent block formed by the fall.

In reply to Access BMC (England):

Next time you are talking to the EMP it might be worth mentioning how close the footpath along the top has got to the back left corner of the quarry. The vegetation overhangs a massive drop. It would be very easy for someone's kid (or dog), running ahead, to fall through it. I know all the edges are unprotected at the top and I'm not suggesting miles of roping off or anything, just highlighting that the danger is visible everywhere else but very hidden here.

Was wondering about the FA potential

Such a shame about Trellis. One of the best problems I've done in the Peak.

Saw your chalk on that block yesterday, good effort for getting in there so quickly 😆

In reply to Somerset swede basher:

Agreed.  The back corner of this quarry is a tragic accident waiting to happen.

I know it's there and have almost come a cropper a couple of times whilst running that route.
