Thought I'd put this on here in case any locals or more regular visitors want to take it up. I've also put a note on one of the affected crags, pending moderator approval.
We had a discussion with the farmer as we were about to walk in to Geodha Uamh nam Fear today. He was concerned about a Golden Eagle nesting in this area and about the fact that there was no info in the guidebooks regarding nesting birds.
Two possible issues here, firstly and most importantly, the environmental one. He didn't know where the eagle was but thought Geodha Uamh nam Fear would be a definite no-no at present.
The second issue is the potential for further conflict. He had some fairly strong opinions and spoke of a confrontation with a climber in the past
We took the easy option and went elsewhere.
