I was climbing on Carreg Wasted today in the Llanberis valley. At the second belay on Shadow Wall (the Holly tree in the cracks not the one with the rope sling) I spotted eggs at the trees base. On closer inspection there was a chick on the nest and 3 unhatched eggs. Later, we ID'd the eggs as possible Peregrine eggs.
I wanted to make other climbers aware of a bird if prey nesting on the crag. Probably best to avoid this route for the next 3 or 4 weeks. Carreg Wastad
