This year’s Stanage Forum Open Meeting is taking place this Sunday 15 October, 2pm - 4pm at Hathersage Memorial Hall, Oddfellows Road, Hathersage S32 1DU.
Topics for discussion will include
- Results of this year's Ring Ouzel project and wildlife surveys
- New heritage project proposal
- Plans for renovation of the Cruck Barn
- Update on restoration of the woodlands, hay meadows and peat bogs
- New bridleway repairs and new Miles Without Stiles route
- Update on introduction of parking charges at Hooks Carr (Popular) and Dennis Knoll (High Neb)
The meeting will begin just after 2pm, and there will be information to view after the main business, until 4pm.
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in the Stanage North Lees Estate, and is your annual chance to meet the management team, ask questions, and have your say about future plans.
Stanage North-Lees Estate is owned and managed by the Peak District National Park Authority. The Forum was established so all stakeholders and users could be involved with decisions. Climbers - represented by the BMC - have been an active part of the Forum since the beginning.
