Ancients of Mu Mu!

Came back from my dog walk, put on the tv, flicked channels and found TOTP 1991.

Great, great stuff. Naiver times, but KLF mattered a lot to me back then. I still revisit it maybe once a year.

Great band, and their Chill Out album is seminal.

Quite like Bill Drummonds writing too!

since Freddie Mercury and Alfred Wainwright shuffled off their mortal inductances

(the reason I remember this is because my grandad died the same year)

They always were the art of the sell out I thought, that's what made them interesting; that some guys with such a philosophy could have so much commercial success proved....something....I can't remember.

These were the days of Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice. Simpler times. Love the 3am Eternal video with the guy singing into the cutting edge mobile phone technology of the day. KLF were vanguard just enough to be a bit embarrassing now.
