I'm just making a return to this series , having initially watched only the first episode( The PM and the Pig) then lost track of it. 

I tried to whittle things down a bit by consulting internet opinion about the best episodes and so watched USS Callister , which was OK I suppose. Last night I watched Common People from the new series which  was, again, OK.

Have UKCers any stand out favourites to recommend?  Top of the popular list seems to be  San Junipero.

Bandersnatch is generally the most iconic episode but it depends on what you are into I guess. 

I've loved Black Mirror over the years. First three series were absolutely fantastic, since then it's been a bit hit-and-miss though. I'm also not sure how all the different episodes will hold up over time, as tech has moved on massively since the show started, and many have definitely been prophetic.

Browsing through, these have been some of my favourites:

• White Christmas
• Nosedive
• Shut up and Dance
• San Junipero
• Hang the DJ
• Bandersnatch
• Loch Henry (not really a typical BM theme, but loved this as a stand alone thriller).

Of these, Nosedive is often talked about as a popular favourite, I guess mostly due to the easy relatability to social media.

I really liked Hang the DJ too, one of the less dark episodes. 

In addition to the ones in your list, White Bear is excellent with one of Black Mirror's best twists (IMO). 

I’ve seen some good ones but the only one I can think of is something like

’name of person (can’t remember)  is awful

It’s got Selma Hayek in it.

White Bear gave both Mrs S. and myself genuine nightmares. A terrifying piece of television.

A useful thread for me, like you I only watched the first one and thought it was great though I'm not sure I want to binge watch stuff like that like I did with Inside No.9. I'll monitor this threads for recommendations and cherry pick.

Shut up and dance is a good one.

I thought Smithereens in series 5 was particularly good.

I binged the new season and then went back and rewatched done of the older ones. White Christmas... It gives me the horrors... Won't spoil it.... But the end... Oof...

Just finished watching the latest season - I thought it was brilliant, I enjoyed every episode, definitely the best overall season since #3.

I noticed that one of the episodes in the latest season seemed to be a sequel to Bandersnatch and after some research the latest episode is set 10 years after Bandersnatch. Charlie Brooker has recently said that he is thinking of doing an official sequel (film).
