Dear folks of ukc, A friend of mine is off work sick at the mo and I wanted to get him a few dvd's to cheer him up.

Has anyone seen any really good recent stand-up dvd's they could suggest? They have to be British though, for reasons I can't be arsed to explain.

I think his humour is similar to mine, Stewart lee, Armando Ianucci, Mark Watson.

Is the latest Dylan Moran one any good? Lee evans? How about recent tv series?

All suggestions appreciated.

Is that the name of his DVD? Series 1 of black books was the perhaps the best show I have ever seen.

Richard Herring - Hitler Moustache. Brilliant.
In reply to Matt Rees:

Dara O'Brian is brilliant.

(I'm seeing Ross Noble live tonight, saw John Cleese live last week!)

So if Dylan Moran, Dara O'Briain and Tim Minchin are all ok, maybe you should explain. By 'British' do you just mean 'not American'?
