For fans who might not have realised, the scruffy spymaster is back on Apple TV in S4 of Slow Horses. Based on the novel Spook Street.

This is the only reason I have a subscription to Apple TV.

So you haven’t seen Severence?

Investigator: ' So you're in charge of the slow horses?"

Lamb: : They don't like being called that."

Investigator : " So what do you cal them then?"

Lamb : " The slow horses."

I only subscribed for Slow Horses  like Darkinbad but have since found lots of worthwhile viewing.  For All Mankind is one of the best 'realistic" space exploration things I've seen and I did enjoy the premise of Silo for a bit but it began to get a bit claustrophobic.

In reply to Tom Valentine:

Thank you!

I’m enjoying reading the books so much that however good the TV series is I’d be worried that watching it would spoil it for me. I’m reading London Rules at the moment

IMHO Kevin, one of those rare cases where the TV series actually does justice to the books.  Highly recommended.

Hi Paul. Yes I can see that. Expanse was another good example. I can enjoy a book over a number of days/weeks but in the habit of binge watching a TV series in one evening

I know I'm not alone in thinking that this is Oldman's finest ever role, better than anything he's done on the big screen. I believe I've read that he thinks the same himself and would be pleased to have it as his swan song.

Severance is one of the best SF series I’ve seen, can’t recommend it enough.

How does in compare to Expanse?

My favourite from series 1

I don't normally do these kind of speeches, but this feels like a big moment, and if it all turns to shit, I might not see any of you again:

You're facking useless. The lot of you. Working with you has been the lowest point in a disappointing career.

I can't remember which series, but.. (can't remember the exact words either..)

Lamb (to Roddy Ho) - "Ho, I now think of you as my number two."
Ho - "Why thank you"
Lamb - "You do know what a number two is, don't you"

There are no spaceships. If you can live with that then it’s quite a bit better.
