I think he does overdo it just a little bit at times...

But the part where he corners Natalie Portman in the toilets - you feel genuinely scared for her, and also for the other cop who interrupts them, despite knowing that he is a complete shit, too...

In reply to Deejay: Yeah he was particularly over the top in Fifth Element, with that southern drawl.

Rickman is also a top notch bad guy.

I have to disagree there. I think True Romance is a fantastic film and in my top 20 of favourite films. Great cast, great dialogue and full of memorable scenes.
