I cannot wait until next Friday, and the start of the BBC Proms.

I won't be able to go to all those that I desire to go to, but I'll try to get to a good number.

I'm curious as to what the overnighter from 11.30pm to 7am will be like, with Anna Lapwood and the Norwegian baroque ensemble. I think that I may decide to stay at my daughter's flat on the following day and sleep somewhat. It's a long time since I worked on nights, although, I've come back from Munro bashing a few times in recent years at circa 5am, and then worked from 10am on the following day, until 6.30pm. It's a thing to bear with, and get over it.

Lots of stuff to look forward to, including familiar faces in the arena, finding new and unfamiliar pieces which turn out to be good, etc.

Also a big musical experience, but different end of the spectrum - seeing Faithless tonight!

Another big musical experience imminent: just about to leave for Playing On The Farm, the very select Grateful Dead inspired micro festival in the Cotswolds. A couple of days of the cosmic dance of Americana meets Jamband.  Who knows where that goes on the spectrum!

The bands so far today have all been very good and the headline act, The Grateful Dudes,  are always excellent. It's an extremely friendly and relaxed vibe, like a miniature psychedelic Cropredy. However, they only sell around 350 tickets,  so you need to book fairly early.
