Hi Folks,

Just to let you know that yours truly will be making a bloody awful racket along with the rest of the Durham Choral Society, in the cathedral on Sat. We are doing Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna, and Rutter's Req. I have additional practice tonight and sat pm, so wish us luck- especially with the snow on its way.

Tickets are still available.....check out the DCS website. I'll be the little fat blonde one at the front of the soprano 1 section!

Yes, best of luck. Sorry I am at the wrong end of the country.

I am staggered at the number of musician-climbers I have met over the last five years, mostly one way or another via UKC. One of them is currently at Durham Uni so could attend your concert, but he'll more likely be climbing ice in Scotland.

I think I saw a lady do those on a German DVD once.

Best of luck, break a leg.

Cheers, guys.

The concert went fab, really enjoyed it. We really filled the cathedral with a beautiful sound, and the conductor milked the 3.5 second echo to its fullest. Incredibly dramatic, hearing our sound coming right back at us! Hard work for us too, we were actually singing for almost all of the hour of solid sound.

We start rehearsals for "Elijah" tonight.
