If you haven't read it - I highly recommend it. An incredible story, unimaginable suffering and very well researched and written. Made me wonder what some climbing authors are whinging about writing about their "epics"

Off the back of it, bought Killers of the Flower Moon (same author) - hoping it's as enjoyable.

If you liked that you'll love

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batavia%27s_Graveyard

about a Dutch ship running aground off the west coast of Australia in the 17th Century. All sorts of awful behaviour and misery.

Thanks , will have a look

I enjoyed it and was impressed by the amount of research required and the amount of source material that even existed.

Was one of my reads for a trip down the Chile coast around Christmas.  Did not visit their island but did see a lot of similar terrain in the fjord maze.  Knew that there had been a shipwreck with a story somewhere near Wellington Island, and was very pleased to see a book was out.
