Hello,

Heading off to Rambleside for a long weekend in the morning, not been in a very long time so can anyone confirm where's the best pub for drinking and the best cafe for full english in a morning?

Thanks!

In reply to Sam_in_Leeds: Golden Rule IMHO

In reply to John Ww:
agreed w the Golden Rule.
Cafe across from the old bus station(now upmarket shopping area)always seems nice, but I suspect that they don't do a full breakfast.Possibly the cafe along the Grasmere road, not far from the small house on the bridge would be the best bet.

In reply to red1200: I'll second that, Bilbo's is a good climbers style cafe, best in Toytown (far better than Daisy's imho, sorry).

Ditto all above, the Golden Rule and Bilbo's cafe (with Daisy's as reserve option).

In reply to Sam_in_Leeds: just for the sake of putting other options out there, for a fantastic breakfast roll you could try Nick's Kitchen: it's next to the library. Their toasties are very good too (brie and salami is my favourite).

Not many places open before 9am though, so if it's an early start you're after, you might end up in Esquires coffee shop (opposite Zefferelli's) - they open at 8am, do nice coffee, have wifi and papers, and their breakfast paninis are good.
