Think about going north to Chiang Mai, there's a good crag 35km out. The crag's less busy than Krabi/Raileh at any time of year, though the latter shouldn't be too busy in July anyway. Chiang Mai & environs are much more interesting culturally and "more Thai" than Raileh (which is now pretty much given over to tourists & climbers), but you don't get limestone karsts rising from a beach. Don't know what the weather's like up North in July, though.

Most Thai climbing is on bolted limestone, but there's also bouldering on granite at Ko Tao if you practice the dark arts

Simonfoley.com has a page for finding climbing partners in Thailand, plus advice. Feel free to email me though if you want more info

As Simon Foley puts it:

Thailand has 3 seasons: hot, f!@#$%g hot and hot and wet. The best time to come for the weather is mid November until mid February. There are drawbacks to coming at this time, but the weather is slightly cooler and it rarely rains. From mid February until about mid September the weather is warmer and rain a little more frequent but you would be very unlikely to get more than a couple of rain days a week. If you remember that it rains in spurts and eh rock dry very quickly this is not big deal. The only really hot month is April. From September until November it is the rainy season and there is more chance of rain. You could see some rain every day for a week.

I also went on my honeymoon - but the wife was a climber so that was ok.
Had a great time climbing (and other honeymoon stuff) at Krabi/Railiagh.
We went in Oct/Nov and the climbing was excellant, and you can hire everything there - we only took our own shoes and harness.
Enjoy
