Hi.

Planning on taking the kids (11, 6 & 4) to Brimham when/if the rain gives in.

What is/are the best area/s for easy top roping with easy access to the top? Cyclops area looks a good place to start.

Thanks in advance

Unless they actually want to do a few climbs, I would bet they would prefer to just explore all the holes, tunnels, tight squeezes, mini summits etc. theres so much to explore and see at brimham, I've been dozens of times and still see new things everytime. They will have a good day whatever you end up doing, enjoy.

We went last Sunday and bouldered (Daughter age 12 short!) Most areas have easy access to the top we did a bit at arch wall/ black chipper and moved onto douggies  dilemma overlapping rock has an easy top rope set up and some stuff to the right of it should be easy too. The top sees heavy traffic as it is below the druids writing table. An instructed group was either successor state or white rose area.

we also went to the boat boulder but this wasn’t top rop compatible. In the centra areas near the tea hut role just seemed able to scramble up fine and enjoy themselves.

We didn’t venture further than this and the rain has foiled us elsewhere this holiday
