It's a high resolution map of the geology of the whole world. You can drill down the tens of metres, and click to find out the local rock type, how old it is, etc. It also happens to be very beautiful. It's brilliant for learning about geology in your favourite area. Works better in some countries than others (e.g. it's much better in NZ, than the UK - strangely).
I only managed to drill down as far as the entire Eastern Mediterranean - hundreds of kilometres - before it gave up on geology and just showed a normal satellite view

I didn't manage to check every country, and yes it seems to only be Western ones with higher resolution sadly.

you can turn off satellite view in the options and get the geology back . Not for all places though
