Does anyone know if French campsites generally have their toilets and showers open or are they requiring campers to have their own facilities?

From friends holidaying in France I understand its business as usual over there. I don't know if it varies between different sites though.

We’re at a campsite in Chamonix/Argentiere and all toilet facilities are open. No need to wear masks whilst cleaning your teeth or any nonsense like that! Though I tend to keep my mask on for the sit-down toilets, especially after eating too much blue cheese!

Cheers guys. That'll save me lugging a chemical toilet around with me.
