Is the Ruigh Aiteachain bothy open at present? Geoff Allen’s book suggests its been recently refurbished, but the MBA site says currently closed for refurbishment- I’m guessing it’s the most up to date of the two sources and that the work is still ongoing? 

Last i heard a couple of weeks ago was that it was open for emergencies but the builders were still working on it. The photos of it makes it look very good.

Stayed there about a month ago,cracking place

The bothy has not been officially handed over to the MBA yet but estate workers who are still working on the the property didn’t seem to mind us staying over for a night.

Usual rules apply take a tent just in case it’s locked or busy
