Guadalest Guadalest. Are there any climbing restrictions in place at the moment? I have recently read an article suggesting that three areas, including Zoo, were out-of-bounds.

"However, climbing in the following sectors “Zoo”, “Castillo” und “Everest” by the car park directly under the village is currently not allowed."

I didn't notice anything to suggest that last time I'd climbed at the Everest area(last spring), having been into the refugio too(in August) there was nothing there that I'd seen to suggest a ban/restriction at those locations either.

Parking for the Zoo is at a different location than for Everest and Castillo. But there is a new development where the zoo used to be, some kind of hotel complex thing and I'm not sure what the deal is with parking there at the moment, not even sure if the cafe there is open anymore which is where you would park for that area.

Probably best to check with Miguel or his Wife at the refugio first if wanting to climb at those areas.
