Hey guys, hope this is in the right forum!

Work from home seems to be the foreseeable future, so my employers have given me conditional licence to roam from my hometown of Brighton this winter. I want to spend roughly Jan 1st to the end of March somewhere I can do some winter climbing and mountaineering, so Aviemore and Fort William were at the top of the list.

I'd very much like to move in with a few other climbers if I can, given lockdown rules will likely very much inhibit socialising and the normal routes you'd take to find climbing partners.

A lot of the property available seems to be 2-3 beds, so I thought I'd post something up here just in case any like-minded remote workers had their eye on a Scottish winter season, or to see if anybody who lived up that way was interested in a lodger while I found a longer term place to stay.

I'm 27, been climbing for about two years almost exclusively bouldering (the sport/trad game is utterly non-existant in the South East). I've dipped a toe with ice climbing and mountaineering, spent Jan/Feb in Scotland in 2019, made two separate trips other times as well as doing two 4000m mountains in Chamonix. Would very much say I'm still a beginner as these trips have been spread over a number of years and looking to really serve my apprenticeship on snow/ice this winter.

If anybodies looking to buddy-up on a flatshare or has a room going hit me up! If you're in-around Fort William or Aviemore at that time of year and (current lockdown rules permitting) want an extra climbing partner then hit me up.

Ey up,

Can't help with accommodation but I'm also a beginner and spend as much of the winter as I can in the highlands. Low grade routes, big days out etc. I'm flexible with work so can cane it up the road at short notice if conditions look good (restrictions permitting).

Crap climber but bags of enthusiasm and a fine beard for those summit pics.

Jim.
