As in the title, I’m off to Leonidio for the first time and am looking for rest day suggestions.  Any chance of a dolphin boat trip or sea kayaking hire.  I’m keen on wildlife so anything along those lines would be great, not keen on monetary visit.

Get a culture fix. Drive up the coast to visit the Mycenean City ruins about 1 hr 30 away. Stunning.

You pass signposts to the city on the way to Leonidio.

If you're into archaeology and/or were hugely impressed as a teenager by reading Mary Renault's The King Must Die like I was, then Mycenae is definitely worth visiting. But rather on the way to or from Leonidio - I found driving that winding coast road there & back as a rest day activity not especially restful.

lol. It’s quicker than driving to see Spartica! I have avoided that as the drive there looks horrendous.

The monastery is nice and weird, so worth a stop on your way for lunch at Kosmos which is the village at the top of the pass. It's only open on a couple of days a week.

Swimming at Plaka or Poulithra is quite pleasant too.

A day trip to the amazing Monemvasia is absolutely worthwhile. I really enjoyed it and you get a lovely drive there and back too.

Prinou Canyon (Zaritsi): Going up, v easy with two or three easy rock steps. In-situ Eagle Owl.

Tserfos Canyon: Bolted abseil points. A trip down some wild spots. Message me if you want more details.
