planning this weekend in Arran to do some of the classic climbs. Whats' the midge situation, where are the good boozers, etc?

No idea about the little bu**ers but for boozers, the pub in Lochranza is not bad. The campsite there is better than the one in Glen Rosa too.

I was in Arran 3 weeks ago in the sweltering heat and ther were none in sight beleive it or not, Boozers are good, and theres a good one in Blackwatersfoot if your round that end of the island, but yeh lochranza is a good one. Personally camping I'd camp up in Glen Sannox, but that bombs out the pubs at night so a carry out for definate !!
