Hello
Can anyone give me any information about routes at Roquebrune, in Provence? I’ve had a look at the websites I know for that general area:
http://escalade.camptocamp.com/guide.html
http://membres.lycos.fr/grimppg/2index.html
http://www.ifrance.com/artbloc/
but there doesn’t seem (to me) to be much on them about Roquebrune.
Better still, if anyone knows of guidebooks or topos for climbing there, and can get hold of one, I’m more than willing to pay for the book and the postage if you can post it to me.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
For those who may be interested, the background to my enquiry is:
I have just spent a couple of weeks in Les Arcs sur Argens, and may well be going there again at various times in the future. While I was there I went to the local Decathlon (in Trans), to see what they had about climbing in the area. The only book they had was “Aiguines: verdon rive gauche” (published by ffme) about sport routes in Verdon, which I bought. When I asked the guy in Decathlon about other books, and about Roquebrune in particular, he said that the Decathlon in Trans only had the Verdon guide, and that they had it only because he knew the author/distributor (not sure which he said), and he had got it specially ordered. He wasn’t sure whether there was a guide to Roquebrune, or where I could get one from.
Verdon is about an hour or so’s drive from Les Arcs, but Roquebrune is closer, and can be reached from Les Arcs by bike/bus. Which makes it more appealing to me, as I usually won’t have a car when I’m there.
So if anyone can offer any advice, that would be great.
Thanks for all this.
Tom
