Going to the coast near Ulassai next month and wondering which bike to take. I've heard that the road cycling in Sardinia is very good, on smooth quiet roads, but no idea about off road options. Looking for trips of around 3 hours. Anyone got experience of either?

I dunno where you heard the roads were smooth. They're not potholed nightmares, but they're not freshly tarmacked either. They're really quite alpine in character aside from the main motorway - lots of blind bends and hills.

I'd second this tbh, the roads can be a little testing, but there is plenty of exciting scenery around Sardinia if you fancy some hills.
