Hi All

I am just about to complete my A levels and want to head out to the Alps in late summer / winter for 2 or 3 months. However I will need a job and accommodation to help fund this. My french and Italian is bad but it is something that I could improve, though I speak fluent mandarin. On the internet I have only seen chalet jobs, and as a young adult I have very limited experience in bartending and the whole lot. Does anyone have any ideas or tips to help me out?

Thanks

The problem is your timing.  You've picked the worst time of the year for alpine tourism.

I was amazed in the Ecrins how quickly ( 1 week) it went from high season to closed at the end of August.

If you can go later then snowheads.com will probably have some options.

PS, what's your visa/ passport situation?

This is the biggest timing issue. Easy pre Brexit, impossible now (unless you have an EU passport up your sleeve).

The OP mentions a stay of 2 to 3 months, isn't that possible with the 90 days per 6 months rule ?

Hi, I have a full British passport, but no French visa, this is merely an idea as I plan for something to do with my gap year.
