Went to a wet and wild Rhoscolyn today to try and locate Symphony Crack for a better day. With no local knowledge and a selected guide with a sketch map, we struggled to locate the various bays let alone the route.Confident we located Fallen Block Dawn but not Sea Cave Dawn. Would be really grateful if some kind soul could help with OS directions or a six/eight figure grid ref.

GR: 256755, Symphony Crack is on the South side of the ridge that forms the Western-most tip of Rhoscolyn Head. This ridge is at the North edge of Sea Cave zawn. It's quite a short route (10-15m) and you have to walk/scramble to the Western end of the head, then down on the South side at the end, and then traverse back in above the sea to get to the base of the route, which is an obvious West facing corner when you're there.

zoom in to 1:25,000 view here:

Also, see the Rhoscolyn wiki pages here which have a couple of topos and some photos, though not a pic of Symphony Crack itself:

Morning Andy, don't worry ,we have had two goes at the chimney to end all chimneys - Lockwood's. First time after two pints in the Pen Y Gwryd, found the start but I misread a crap guide book and we ended up doing a terrifying open HS in big boots and heavy rain. Yesterday after being blown off Rhoscolyn we returned to Lockwood's for round two again in the rain. Only got up the cracks pitch with a ballsy lead by Brian on bottom half and me aiding the top ! Then into the chimney proper, what a place to have a near coronary.Great fun when finished. Please God none of those travelling down today want to have a go at it.
