Currently sat in Bristol airport fantasising about where I'm
Going to be in 6 hours.

I've got my eyes on the migot spur amongst others this season and was just wondering if anyone had any first hand knowledge of conditions? Looking at the forecasts and reports I have a feeling it might be a bit too soft but ha anyone actualy been up there recently to report back?

Alternatively, anyone got any other tips for exciting acclimatisation routes in the tour basin area around ad/d grade?

In reply to tipsy: I walked past the Chardonnet on Tuesday. There was a good track up the Migot/Forbes and the other gullies. Colder weather now so could be good.

In reply to tipsy: I did the Forbes arete on Monday and there were a few teams climbing the Migot that day. Might be a tad warm now but conditions looked good and the descent was pretty straightforward.

The table to rock ridge on the tour is well worth it also and not so far to go to get to the start of it.
In reply to Dave Searle: Yes it is but I would recommend the gully start. I haven't done it but I found the normal start boring and tedious. The interesting climbing didn't start until just below the table.

Here's a report from someone who did it in March:

I did it in the summer a long while ago and it was a very pleasant, the only surprise was that we expected the top snow field to be just that but it was all ice instead. So with only an ice axe each with straight picks and no ice screws (IIRC) it was a little nerve wracking. This was in August though.
