Argentiere glacier - snowshoe access question

How would one best access the Argentiere glacier in March without skis (we'll only have snowshoes)?

I know there is a ski-touring route from the GM car park up to the Refuge de Lognan; I assume we can go up that but how easy is it to continue from there, skirting climbers left of the ski area as far as possible, onto the glacier?

I'm keen to avoid trudging up alongside the piste as I'm sure it's both fairly dangerous and not allowed!

I don’t think you can get on any of the lifts at the Grand Montets without skis or snowboard.

Not sure specifically at Argentiere (been a while since I've been there), but I've seen people a few times (in various places) skinning up the edge of the piste, so you might be ok with snowshoes.

Agreed - that's what I understand and why I'm looking for alternative routes to where we want to go.

Thank you - that looks like a really interesting resource and one I had not seen before.

There’s nothing to stop you snow shoeing up the side of the piste. Though this is obviously fairly tedious. I’d start early so you’ll be up it before the skiers start coming down?
