Afternoon all,

After discussing a Brecon trip, a lovely Ukc member and I are meeting for a Brecon Overnighter on the Weekend 18-20th April.

We would dearly like any interested Ukc members to join us on a night out, a bit of night nav, any budding ML's to practice, or anything you want to draw from it, even a hip flask would be on the cards, and a wild camp.

although not an Alps Expo, this would be a great night, both socially, and to get all our debates out in the air! and goof about the world of the outdoors.

so if anyone would be up for this trip, the meeting place will be 'south' of;

Upper Neuadd Reservior in the car park at GRd 037 171 at 10am on Saturday 19th April. The Car Park is clearly marked on OS Explorer (OL12) with an "Info" sign. This is a most central point, and we can discuss a route from here, with view to seeing the Beacons and getting back to cars following morning.

If driving, then its the first roundabout after 'Rhydycar' (leisure centre) on the A470 from Cardiff.

then take the A4102 for a little (600m)distance and turn left on to the A4054 at the lights and head for 'Cefn Coed y Cymmer'
once here look for a disused church right on a bridge, take this 'right' and head for - Vaynor and through Pontsticill, this road leads all the way to the Carpark. Past 2 Reserviors. easy peasy!

all that you require is;

A sense of humour
A verbal contract that Ukc debates wont be mentioned or forfits will commence
A map and compass!!
A tent, solo unless you wanna share with a new found farty friend
A camp(pretend)fire joke
A frisby or games

I will even pick someone up from Cardiff Central if you dont drive. but it would have to be early on that morning. (8am ish)

hope to see you, what a laugh this could be.

As the aforementioned "lovely UKc member" I'll be there too! Testing my 1.5 man tent in preparation for the SLMM.

Oh and.............

The BMC recognises that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.

just in case you forgot!!
