Montenvers/Mer de Glace ladders

Does anyone know the latest on the state of the Mer de Glace ladders? Back in June I remember they'd been damaged by rockfall. Are they OK now? Have they been re-routed?

I went down the ladders at the end of last week with no problems at all. Don't even remember them being any different from the last time I went down them 2 years ago, so I would assume they've been repaired.

Don't forget the Montenvers train stops running soon!

Very true! WE did have to have a sit down rest before the final ladder too.... Must have been the long day we'd had....?
