A really valiant effort by the climbing community , and managing to rescue one person. Sadly it looks like Tomasz Mackiewicz, can't be rescued.
Apparently that was his 7th attempt to climb Nanga Parbat in winter, hardcore doesn't adequately describe it for me. RIP
