2 years old but lightly used as it appears my back is not a standard length.

How do you aim to prevent the new buyer being in the same boat?

I don't. 

What fits me doesn't necessarily fit someone else. I should have bought one with a long back. I didn't so it doesn't fit me. If you have a more standard back it should be fine.

The information is on the aiguille website. I made the wrong choice.

Dunno - it's a great rucksack at fair price though.

I'm 180cm and use standard length Aiguille sacks, if that is helpful to anyone. 

Can I ask how tall you are please? (I presume the standard back was too short for you?)

186cm. It was too short. I had a discussion with Aiguille and the decision was marginal, but wrong.

For comparison I have a big Macpac with a size 3 long back. It fits very well.

186cm here, and I take a standard Aiguille back too, if that helps anyone.
