As the title suggests, has anyone got hold of these mats yet and what are the thoughts surrounding how good they are?

In reply to paul29uk: mate had the waffa on a recent font trip. He was happy enough on any low level stuff but luckily there were a ton of other mats on the trip which meant he could pinch one for anything big.

Nope. I find them odd tho, they're similar prices to other offerings out there. The attraction of Alpkit mats was the price. Mats seem to range from a bit over £100 up to about £170-180. Now the new Alpkit mat is £120, which is at the lower end of things, but hardly budget.

Still be interested to see a review of them.

In reply to mattrm: tbh i was pretty glad i had a woomf (bought a few years back). I couldn't quite get my head round what you'd want to use the waffa for most of the time. Maybe for a sit start with a full boulder mat under the fall area (hence the mujo?).

esp considering the price of a woomf was only $50...
