Hi all,

Can anyone suggest the best 2 person mountaineering tent for use in the alps and scottish winters ect, needs to be good in the snow and in cold conditons and light enough to carry on routes!

Thanks for any suggestions!

RAB Summit Mountain bivi or Summit Superlite bivi.

Black Diamond makes a similar tent, (Firstlight) as does Integral Designs.

I wouldn't want to carry anything heavier/bulkier than this on routes.

If you want to go seriously lightweight, you could even go with a Brooks Range Rocket Tent.

In reply to chester1993: Warmlite tents are pretty good, had one for two years for Alpine stuff buy only used it a few times, super tough and very light. In the end I sold it and I regret that now!

In reply to chester1993: The Mountain Hardwear EV2 is really worth looking at, its seriously strong, the Outdoor Shop also have it really cheap at the moment-http://www.theoutdoorshop.com/showPart.asp?part=PN70238
