Can I retro fit Snow baskets to my walking poles?

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or has tried this but I have some Black Diamond Distance FL Treking poles which I'm only ever going to use in the winter and I would like to fit some snow baskets on them.

Is this possible at all?

From BD website...
NOTE: 3-season Z-Poles do not accept, or have fittings for snow or powder baskets

and as the Distance FLs are classed as 3 season....
You should have got the 4 season Ultra Mountains

Yup I noticed that on the BD Website ;-(

I was thinking of pulling the whole plastic bottom piece off then putting a snow basket on gluing it then threading the platic bit back on???

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense.

Yes I've done exactly this with BD distance Fl poles. I used boiling water to loosen the glue holding the plastic ends on then pulled the old ends off and replaced with Leki tips...didn't even need to put any new glue on as it reset straight away. Have used them loads since with no problems
