Bought an inflatable double mattress for car camping and looking for a recommendation for a pump. Car has a 12v socket but can't guarantee to always be next to it.

Go!

Aldi/Lidl/ Argos bellows footpump for inflatables. Sub £5, work fine.

They're bigger, but a manual pump, like the kind for inflatable tents or power kites are quicker and quieter (and less fallible).

Those cheap electric pumps are VERY slow and VERY noisy - which as a combo when arriving late to a campsite isn't going to make you many friends.

I had a couple of those cheap bellows pumps, but they never seemed to last more than a year, and again were always pretty loud.

Last inflatable mattress I bought came with a free Camping Gaz battery pump that runs on 4x"D" batteries. Bit noisy and runs out of puff towards the end, but gets it most of the way there - when the motor pitch changes significantly, it's time to start blowing. It's too feeble to overcome the valve, so you have to unscrew that and use the rapid deflate hole instead.
