About a month ago I bought a FlexEx (the red medium one) at my local climbing wall - it is supposed to help train your antagonists etc. I have used it exactly the way it is described in the little manual it came with, about every second day, and it is already showing some major tears in the material. If I use it one more time, it will probably snap :/ I don't have ridiculously big hands or strong fingers, so I'm not all too happy with that thing only lasting a couple of weeks.

Can anyone recommend something similar that maybe lasts a little bit longer? I have seen a bunch of those things online (e.g. PowerFingers), but not sure whether they are any good/more durable.

Got a mate that just uses small elastic bands.
A couple of quid for 100 bands, seems to do the job

How would that one work for your individual fingers?

I use a Metolius GripSaver Plus

Supposedly great for antagonistic training.

Not managed to break it yet and I've had it about a year.

I have some of the IronMind Expand-Your-Hand bands and haven't managed to break them yet.

Just make a small loop over the back of the fingers by pinching the two sides together with your other hand. If you use the band for warming up your shoulders for climbing, you can slip the antagonist training into your warmup.

I have one of these, the blue one:

It hasn't broken yet, although I don't use it as much as I probably should.

PowerFingers. I had lots of finger problems over the years but (touch wood) these seem to have solved it

One might say that if you break it after a couple of weeks, than you probably don't need it!
