Iv just got a pair and just want to know if they have any down sides?

bit late now...how fast do they wear, check the seams for splitting & glue before, rather than later.

What glue would you say is best?

Will they take crampons?

you are having a laugh about crampons aren't you? are they not like apres-ski type boots?

they might take flexible crampons, or those shoe spike/chains things. but the soles look a funny shape & too flexible to keep 'real' crampons on. you could always try, i suppose!

I thought I would send Karrimor a email and see what they had to say and this is what they sent back just in case anyone else wants to know:

Hi,

The boot rating (B0, B1, B2, B3) must exceed the crampon rating (C1 C2 C3).

The Snow fur is a B0 boot so will not take any full crampon C1 C2 C3.

certainly looks good. i think karrimor stuff is made by a lot of different people now, so while the approach shoes look horrible, some of the other stuff is OK.
i've worn crampons on b0 boots before (old karrimor fabric KSB's!!), but only on straightforward walking stuff [snowdon, tryfan, some glyders, lowlevel grampians]

I only ues them boots for Stuff like Tryfan anyways.
