I have a pair of old Nepal Cubes. The sole under the toe wore down and into the midsole after perhaps 20-30 days wear, so I had them resoled (including midsole and replacement of front rand and bail) by Lancashire Shoe Repairs (who did a great job).
Now after 10-15 further days, some of those days largely in crampons, I am noticing rapid wear in the same place again. The rest of the sole is barely touched.
I will get them resoled again, as I feel it's less waste and anyway cheaper than new boots, but it's not ideal. I see there is a bit of mention on experiences of rapid wear on the Nepal (and Ice) Cubes in this older thread: https://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/gear/la_sportiva_ice_cube_resole-689990
Has anyone else noticed rapid wear under the toe on these boots?
