Does anyone have any experience modifying existing clothing? I have a jacket that is great aside from a rather annoying fleece hood which I think would be vastly improved if it were the same wind resistant material as the rest of the jacket.
I was wondering if it would be worth attempting to modify this by attaching some kind of stretchy wind resistant fabric to the outside. Just wondered if anyone has tried similar and how it went? Is it worthwhile, or a fools quest? I suspect sourcing a small amount of a good fabric at a reasonable price might be the main challenge?
