New Miura VS possible sizing change

The update Miura VS was released earlier this year. Apart from some slight cosmetic changes and an improved heel, everything else was supposed to stay the same. Very good news indeed.

I normally wear the standard Miura VS in a 42. They are very tight to begin with, but loosen slightly to give an awesome shoe for sport and trad.

As I had a couple of new pairs of the pre-update version I haven't had to buy any of the post update version yet.

Having narrowish feet I recently bought a pair (size 42) of the post update version in the low volume format to try them out and see if they were any better for me.

The new version low volume pair arrived and I tried them on and they seemed quite easy to put on and very comfortable, too easy and too comfortable. I put them against a pair of pre-update size 42 standard volume and they are visibly larger and longer, at the very least similar to a size 43.

Has anyone else come across this? As I haven't worn the low volumes before, perhaps this is the norm, though I would be surprised.

I am now a bit concerned about placing an order for the standard volume in my usual size of 42 as they may now be too large.

CB.

The same thing happened on the new Katana Lace. Effing annoying... I just went down 0.5 with the KLs.

Re the new LV.My personal experience with these  is 36.5: (my normal downsized/performance fit/ laS size) is 37 for sure exaggerated by their high volume. I've kept these as all day comfy shoes and they perform well.I also have size 36 these are closer to 37 perhaps a bit tighter lengthwise.Im keeping these for harder rts Softer than the yellow version so in performance terms a different shoe imo.

Thanks, that's interesting to know.

Yes, I may have to downsize with the standard volume. However, I will definitely have to try some on in person, whereas for the last 9 years I have been able to buy size 42 knowing they will just fit.

Just order a 41 and a 42. Get free postage and return the pair that don't fit?

I've stayed with 40s for my new pair (first of the new version for me having had five of the older iteration - norma,l not low, volume) and they feel the same to me.

In fact I tried a pair of 39.5s, as a friend had some he wanted to pass on, and they were too small for me.
