I've not used them but have repaired them. They are an interesting concept, I see best advantage would be a rack of 2 when climbing in the mountains. For grit, the routes just aren't long enough to warrant the cost. You'd get 2 maybe 3 4CUs or something for the price of one link cam I would have thought. That said, no reason at all why they wouldn't work on grit.

In reply to Alistair- corbett: my climbing partner has one of these and places it ALOT on the grit
I'm not sure what the actual reviews are like on this cam, but he loves his!
It is also a very useful piece of kit due to the varied camming range

Hope this helps
Yeah i see your point about the 3 for 1 on 3CU'S. I dont no why i thought they might not work for grit but thought id check. when it comes to cams its always expensive and tricky to know which to pick!! cheers for the advise

In reply to Alistair- corbett: My mates got some and when your onsighting a route and dont know what size cam you need they are very useful. You see the placement and grab the cam knowing its going to fit!

And they look cool

In reply to Alistair- corbett: I've used them for 3-4 years, my favourite pieces, go in anywhere and very easily.

Yep they cost and not easy to find. I've always got mine from Peglers in Arundel. Grit yes, yes.

I have pink .5 (?) and red one 1
My favourite pieces of pro. They are to heavy to build up full set on your rack but they are perfect to double your first set of cams.
I mean: if you climb up and you placed already green, purple and red of yours Camalots you stil have second one of every of these with only one red Omega's cam. It's priceless for onsights because you can stay focused on the route, but protection placements. Perfect "panic" placement when you are out of stammina and you need put something on and hang on.
In reply to Alistair- corbett: cheers for the help, glad to see people rate em!
