Not sure if this is the right place to post and a bit random but does anyone know what percentage of a rope’s strength is in its core?

An interesting post Steve. An honest question: As some ropes now have a 'Unicore' construction, sheath and core bound together.  Does that make a difference to 'core' strength calculation?

Prolly not by much. 
 

the unicore is mostly to keep the rope more ’tight’ and have less/none shealt slippage.

Sorry, but there are too many inaccuracies in that source to make it trustworthy.

I wonder if the percentage might be different in ropes especially designed for indoor wall / centres, such as the Beal Wall Master. The outer is more hard wearing and thicker on these types of ropes.

Mate, the person had a question about ropes - it was answered, some additional material was found to collaborate - as far as I'm aware he's not building a legal case or gathering material for an investigation - feel free to spend a moment of your time constructively and find a source that meets your high expectations 😂
