In reply to whenry: Yeah. Scarpa are switching to edge because apparently the new version is better. On their newer shoes they make up for it by using thinner edge rubber than they would if they were using grip. Apparently this way it's just as sensitive as grip but edges better... Not entirely sure everyone would agree with that though.
I really liked my lace instincts when they were half worn out, without a proper edge and mega soft. They were pretty much perfect and then I went and got them resoled with 4.2mm stealth...
