Ladies what waterproof jacket do you currently own?

I have an old Rab neutrino but it fits terribly (helmet hood fits really badly, the zip rides up and it has rubbish pockets) so im wanting to upgrade.

Light & single skin pref with no helmet hood if possible as it will be used for walking/scrambling not climbing.

Help recommend me some please - male or female versions - just whatever you like best?

thanks a lot.

I currently own a Mountain Equipment Seraph, after finally succumbing and replacing my heavy, seven year old previous goretex. It's single skin, super-lightweight, tough enough to withstand Scottish downpours, packs down to nothing, doesn't have extraneous features, seems very well cut for me (the size 12 has proper long arms). The hood fits a helmet underneath it, but it's very good without a helmet - the drawcords cinch it in well.

It's awesome and I love it.

I've got a montane superfly (women's), and I really like it. Hood a bit small for a helmet, but fits a head well. Mine (size 10) rolls up and fits into an XS dry bag (I'm still a bit unhappy about stuffing an expensive waterproof into my rucksack without protecting it a bit, but just being paranoid I think!). It's very very breathable, but I don't think it's all that windproof. This works wonderfully for me, as I run very hot when walking, but may not suit you. I haven't reproofed it yet (had it since last september), and am not qualified to join the goretex/event debate, as this is my first decent waterproof. If you do decide on one and you're anywhere near Newcastle, ring the montane factory outlet and see if they have any 'special' ones in. Mine was a 'salesman's sample' from there, a prototype of the latest model that they improved slightly before sending to production. It cost me £80 (RRP £200...).
The only slight issue I have is with 2 toggles in the pockets which tighten some elastic around the middle. For me they sat under a rucksack waistbelt and I was worried about them rubbing through the material, so I cut them out. Lovely jacket overall though.

I also have a Marmot Precip, which I hate with a passion. It's light to keep in a rucksack, but fairly useless if you have to get it out of the rucksack and wear it for anything vaguely active. About as breathable as a bin bag in my opinion. I think they've brought out a new one since I got mine (approx 3 years ago), so it might be better now.

Hope that helps

I second the Superfly - I have the men's version (as it's the rescue team jacket, and they still haven't realised there are women in the team....), but it's still a pretty good fit, and nice and light without being flimsy.
