Hey

Does anybody know of any decent scrambles in the peak district. Ideally edale side of kinder or the edges  Something along the line of a grade 2.

https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/ticklists/scrambles_in_the_dark_peak_sum... is your friend. Kinder is a bit short on Grade 2s and the eastern edges are a bit short for worthwhile scrambling full stop. My personal favourites in the Peak are Wilderness Gully East (Summer) (M) Wildboar Clough (Summer) (Grade-2) and Elbow Ridge (D). If you are super keen then heading up and down the various descent routes on the tallest bits of Stanage Popular End would provide some worthwhile practice.

There is a nice book - Cicerone's Scrambles in the Dark Peak which might be useful.  It is less than a tenner and has lots of ideas.

I've used the Cicerone guidebook and had a couple of steady days scrambling up cloughs. The excitement tends to be short lived and low key, so linking routes, which the Cicerone book suggests, makes for a good afternoon out. Linking Stanage descents is an excellent idea, with the odd mod. especially gritty chimneys. I usually try to climb the crag moderate if I come across them whilst walking.
