The Kent Mountain Centre has sold for £385 000. Any idea as to why Kent CC has sold this venue?

Probably avoiding financial insolvency like most councils?

climbed with  several people who worked there over the years . ideal for anybody wanting to have their own............. .....outdoor center. I wonder if there is some weird legal sh1t about what one can and cannot do with the site ? one would assume that it could be an outdoor center but maybe not ? 

That seems an incredible bargain if you could get change of use back to a house.

Guide price £185k.

It has an overage on it, so any planning will mean a substantial sum of money going to the previous owner.

It's also Grade 2 listed making any changes slow, limited and expensive.

I'm slightly surprised it managed to fetch £385k, but money no object you'll struggle to find a prettier spot.

Yeah the overage will add quite a chunk if they do change use etc!
