I am currently logging QMDs  towards  my  Summer Mountain Leader.  However, I am  considering, in the interim,   doing the Lowland  Leader Training and Assessment as this  would allow me to   do  alternative activities at one of the centres I  work at.     Whilst I  have a deal of experience that would fill  this criteria,  I  will need to  revisit my  records to  show this  experience in DLOG. What I was wondering is whether MT accept  the QMDs  as  part of  the 10  days required to  attend training.  I  appreciate that the criteria   refer  to "lowland walks"  it also  refers to  SML, HML and Hill Skills Course as being acceptable, hence the  ambiguity.   Can anyone provide insight?  Thank you

In reply to scalatore:

You would need Lowland Walks as defined by Quality Lowland Days, and in appropriate terrain.

I did something along those lines, if you do your ML training you don't have to do training for the Lowland Leader. You will need to log walks in a lowland context, I did all mine towards the end of lockdown since I couldn't get to the hills. Be aware though, it's not simply an easier award, it is quite different terrain requiring different navigation skills, I spent quite a bit of time trying not to get lost in dense woodland. I found that compared to ML much greater knowledge of access law was needed, if you're doing it in Scotland that can be quite confusing at times. If in doubt, find a provider you want to go with and ask them for advice.
