This is a copy/paste of a Facebook post from Police Scotland.  Seems like it might be a good idea to repost here:

Officers in the Highlands are appealing for help to trace a missing walker.

Paul Conway, 67, travelled from Newcastle to Glenfinnan by train on Tuesday, 10 September, contacting his family upon arrival around 6.40pm. He had planned to walk from Glenfinnan to Inverie in Knoydart, but failed to arrive as expected on the afternoon of Friday, 13 September.

Paul is described as being around 5ft 10 in height, of stocky build with shaven silver hair. He is believed to be wearing a green Paracore waterproof jacket with a hood, camouflage green shorts and walking boots. He was carrying a dark bergen-style bag and was in possession of two walking poles.

Sergeant Katy Duncan said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Paul’s welfare, and efforts are ongoing to trace him.

“If you think you’ve seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2791 of 14 September

Excellent news!  Thanks.

Since the OP was a copy/paste from FB, here's what Lochaber MRT had to say on their FB page:

"Since Saturday evening, Lochaber MRT, Search & Rescue Dog Association (Scotland), RAF Lossiemouth MRT and Police Scotland MRT, have continued search efforts for missing walker Paul Conway.

Thankfully today Paul was found and reunited with his family, a little worse for wear but in good spirits.

We’d like to offer a huge thank you to team members from all teams involved in the search, coastguard helicopter crew, and members of the public who have assisted in search efforts on some very remote and challenging ground over the past few days.

As a voluntary organisation, we rely on donations to enable us to provide our services 24/7/365 to those in need. If you would like to support us then please visit our JustGiving page to donate:

Excellent news indeed. So often the result in similar situations is the worst, so it it good to hear this fella is safe.

From Police Scotland

Extensive searches were carried out and he was traced safe and well on Tuesday, 17 September in a remote area south of Loch Morar having become lost while en-route.

Paul’s son Chris Conway said: “On behalf of the whole family I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in searches for our father over the past few days.

“He is in good health and good spirits after this experience and again I would like to thank everyone who has helped find him and bring him to safety.”

Blimey, hats off to the Teams somehow knowing to look there, and secondly finding him.
